Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District Authority has begun a contest to design a £1.6 million arts pavilion. Due to open in 2015, the pavilion will act as an exhibition and events space until the M+ museum by Herzog & de Meuron and Farrells completes. ‘Original and inspiring’ schemes are sought for the 470m2 building overlooking Victoria Harbour. [Register before 28 October]

Newham Sixth Form College wants a multidisciplinary design team for phase one of its £6 million Prince Regent Lane Campus. Teams should be led by an architect and include structural and mechanical engineers. Other services will be appointed separately. [Request documents by 25 October]

Harrogate Borough Council is looking for a team to design and deliver 4,200m2 of new-build offices inside Knapping Mount. Dubbed a ‘catalyst to cultural change’, the council intends to operate community services from the site. [Submissions due by 18 October]
