Milan velodrome, Bergen’s 120-hour student challenge and Bentley Park. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

The Municipality of Milan has launched a design competition for the €18 million (£14.5 million) overhaul of its Maspes-Vigorelli Velodrome. Ten shortlisted teams will each receive a €5,000 (£4,000) stipend. The winner will take home a €25,000 (£20,000) prize and an advance on professional fees for the preliminary design project, expected to cost €150,000 (£120,000).[Registrations must be returned by 4 December]

A contest for students, organised by students, has been announced in Bergen. Entrants have 120 hours to develop proposals for Norway’s west coast. The competition has a £5,600 prize fund and starts on 4 February. [Registration required before 1 February 2013]

Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for landscape design professionals o complete Stage 3 HLF designs for the 1920s Bentley Park. Works are expected to begin in February 2013 for completion by April 2015. The successful applicant will be required to manage the project (RIBA Stages E-L). [Requests to participate to be returned by 31 December]
