CABE is launching a writing competition with prizes of five places for students at the three-day conference 'Can Architecture Make a Difference?' in September. Speakers include architects Will Alsop and Piers Gough. Students must submit 300 words on the subject by 17 August. Judges will be looking for wit and humour, as well as architectural knowledge and insight. Entries should be sent to Hilary Clarke, CABE, Tower Building, York Road, London SE1 7NX.
