ColladoCollins has submitted final plans for Tesco’s 450-home development in Bromley-by-Bow, east London
The project, which has gone through a public consulation, includes a primary school, park, hotel and supermarket.
Jonathan Collins, director at ColladoCollins, said: “We have changed the scheme to present a stronger street edge along the boundary and those units facing the A12 are dual aspect with their living spaces facing south over a larger shared garden.
“The lower levels of this building will be occupied by business starter units and artist’s studios to create an active frontage. The petrol station has also been moved so that it is under the residential building and to ensure its access would work with the future all-movements junction providing two additional pedestrian crossing points.”
Tower Hamlets Council will determine the scheme, earmarked by London mayor Boris Johnson as an area of opportunity, on 13 May.
Last month the practice retaliated following a stinging attack by CABE on the its proposals.
