New guidance notes to accompany the RIBA's procurement policy have been tentatively approved by the RIBA council. But London region chairman Simon Foxell was told that his procurement policy failed to clearly distinguish architects from contractors. RIBA president Paul Hyett accepted recommendations that the paper go out for a further round of consultation before being adopted.
