The Civic Trust will next month give its Centre Vision Award for a work which contributes most to a town centre's improvement to Glen Howells Architects' Market Place Theatre in Armagh or to Rod Robinson Associates' restoration of All Saints Church in Hereford. Both have been shortlisted in the awards which are set to be announced at the Science Museum on 22 March.

The sustainability award shortlist is: Allford Hall Monaghan Morris' Notley Green Primary School in Braintree; Buttress Fuller Alsop Williams' Young People's Centre in Warrington; David Richmond & Partners' Canon Headquarters in Reigate, Surrey, and WDR & RD Tag - gart's Ecos Environmental Centre in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

The Rural Housing award will go to either Pollard Thomas & Edwards' Jaywick Sands scheme in Essex or Feilden Clegg Bradley's Marlborough House in Warminster, Wiltshire. The Rural Workplace award may go to the latter practice for its new HQ for Rare in Twycross, Leicestershire, or to Fletcher Priest for Cannon Avent Production Facility, Glemsford, Suffolk.
