An exhibition featuring the work of Serge Chermayeff takes place at the De La Warr Pavilion at Bexhill-on-Sea from 10 June to 15 July. Chermayeff, in partnership with Eric Mendelsohn, won the competition to design the pavilion, which was completed in 1935. The exhibition traces the development of Chermayeff 's ideas through his houses, furniture and the relationships he established with artists such as Moore, Nicholson and Piper. The show has been devised in association with Kettle's Yard, Cambridge, where it was first seen.A new book written by curator Alan Powers and published by RIBA accompanies the exhibition. The exhibition is open from 10am to 6pm and admission is free. There is a programme of events planned for Architecture Week (see page 20).
