Case study: National Waterfront Museum, Swansea

Wilkinson Eyre selected materials for the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea to reflect the aspirations of the museum, contextualising the scheme through the use of local materials. Slate, chosen as a traditional local material and for its high levels of durability (necessary for the museum's exposed south elevation on the seafront), was sourced from three different quarries.
