Chancellor Gordon Brown last week unveiled the next stage of the masterplan of London's Canary Wharf , including three new towers and an extra 430,000m2 of office space. A 30-storey block by New York-based architect Kohn Pedersen Fox has already been leased to City law firm Clifford Chance. The towers in Docklands come despite major planning wrangles over tall buildings in the City, such as Foster and Partners' Swiss Re building. Left to right the architects are Kohn Pedersen Fox, Skidmore Owings & Merrill with two buildings, and Cesar Pelli with two buildings.
