Can anyone tell me how red cedar ages?

I am compiling a historical list of buildings in the uk that have used western red cedar externally. I am contacted regularly by architects on the use of cedar, with one common question being how it changes in appearance over time. Could readers please provide me with details of projects, the older the better, to which enquirers could be directed to view cedar of varying ages?
