CABE is backing an extensive feasibility study into the possibility of opening an architecture centre in Cambridge. Commissioned by the city council, the study by the Bailey Consultancy should be ready by October. Providing the study shows it will attract sufficient sponsorship, the council hopes to open an architecture centre - the UK's 13th - by the end of 2002. Half the study's cost is being met by CABE; the remainder will come from a number of local and regional organisations.
