[FIRST LOOK + PLANS + PROJECT DATA] Buckley Gray Yeoman has submitted plans for a retail and residential ‘refurb-extension’ of an existing brick warehouse in Deptford, south London
The scheme features the refurbishment of the building’s existing three floors as well as a top-floor extension.
Featuring a central atrium, the 10,000m2 scheme’s 84 walkway-connected flats will occupy the top floors while office, retail and leisure uses are planned for its base.
Martin Pearce, the project architect explained: ‘As one of few remaining examples of warehouse architecture in the local area, the proposal looks to provide a sensitive extension that sits comfortably with the existing building.
‘Externally the proposal seeks to refurbish and enhance the existing building and offer a new build extension that acknowledges the rhythms, proportions and material palette of the existing architecture to provide a high quality residential development.’
