The Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded £1.9 million for the rescue and repair of a Grade I-listed church blitzed by vandalism and arson attackers. St Paul's, a Georgian church on Portland Square in Bristol, is to be helped by the Churches Conservation Trust, which cares for more than 320 historic churches. The trust has not yet chosen an architect.
