The riba's new sustainability adviser has asked architects to stop carping about unemployable students and draw inspiration from their designs. Professor Brian Edwards, in his 'Eco-cool: the new aesthetic' lecture last week, said: 'There is a new sense of architectural renaissance driven by the eco movement. The best examples are in schools, not practices, which tend to be preoccupied by low-energy design.'
