A bridge design with sculptural masts and cables is the latest competition winner by Chris Wilkinson Architects with Flint & Neill Partnership. The Hammarby Sjostad foot and cycle bridge will arc over a busy shipping route in Stockholm, Sweden. The bridge, including a curved stepped path and horizontal pathway, splits halfway and swings open. It spans 80m and a has a budget of £4.5million. It was the firm's third bridge win of last year and is its first overseas.
