A bespoke footbridge by timber engineering company HLD has been built over Golden Brook in the East Midlands as part of a ú1 million redevelopment of the local area. The 6m long bridge, built from arched glue laminated beams and a vertical spindle parapet made from European Redwood, is 3m wide to carry pedestrians and small tractors. Diagonal bracing and ties provide stability in high winds and the anti-slip finish satisfies health and safety standards.
