Breath of fresh air for the elderly

  • Comment

Ventilation systems by Passivent have been chosen to maintain fresh air, without draughts, throughout the 36 flats for the frail elderly at Paddy Geere House in Ipswich. Discreet and virtually silent wall vents in each flat draw fresh air into the homes, while moisture-laden air is drawn out from 'wet' areas by humiditysensitive extracts, linked to central extract fans in the roof space. The system is automatic, and so does not rely on residents to turn it on and off.
