A £35 million mixed-use tower with a glazed curving bay and spire is to soar above Bracknell after architect Norman + Dawbarn won detailed planning consent for the 18-storey design last week.

The 33,000m 2Winchester House development will be topped with 42 flats on three floors with offices below. The ground floor will feature a health and fitness club, cafes and a restaurant. It will replace a 13-storey office, due for demolition in 2003.
