George McLellan, the man who drew up the professional conduct code of the Architects Registration Board, has 'left to pursue a career elsewhere', according to the board. A spokesperson would not be drawn on whether or not the former assistant registrar hadbeen sacked. Elsewhere the arb has appointed five new external solicitors for the conduct committee, making a total of six, but said that there was nothing to suggest that fees, currently £30 a year, would rise as a result of the move.
