Blocks pile in for earthquake testing

A full range of Tarmac Topblock aggregate blocks has been used in the construction of Bristol University's ú15 million earthquake research centre. Both Hemelite lightweight blocks in a standard fi nish and Topcrete dense blocks in a Paint Quality finish were supplied by Keyline of Bristol. Hemelite blocks are suitable for construction of walls above and below ground, and, weighing less than 20kg, conform to CDM single-person repetitive handling guidance.
