Benoy Architects has unveiled these designs for the redevelopment of London's Battersea Power Station. The London-based practice is working on the interior of the building alongside a number of other practices whose names are still under wraps. The designs are part of a wider masterplan drawn up by Sir Philip Dowson with Arup Associates, the latter of which is also understood to be designing a new building. Dowson was appointed in February by developer, Parkview International. The plans feature a number of new buildings as well as a redevelopment of the existing power station. Facilities will include a multiplex cinema, two hotels, a theatre and post-production facilities for the film and television industry. There is also expected to be a housing element to the scheme. Planning applications on the individual buildings are due to be submitted this spring.
