The race is on to design the new Welsh Assembly, with (guess what) Cardiff Bay out in front as prospective site. Landowner Grosvenor Waterside has come up with two amusing ideas: one resembles a glass head on huge 'shoulders and outstretched arms', designed by Manfredi Nicoletti (failed opera house designer); another uses an existing building which could be extended with a debating chamber. The building's name? Crickhowell House.
