Assael Architecture is working on plans for a 22-storey apartment tower in Manchester City Centre (above). The London-based practice has drawn up a feasibility study for a glass and steel structure to house 230 apartments. The developer, Nicholson Estates, expects to submit a planning application to Manchester City Council in April. The floor space and budget for the building are still under wraps, but the tower is likely to be higher than 80m. The building is adjacent to the G-Mex centre and the new convention centre designed by Sheppard Robson and Stephenson/Bell.
