Art of the rich

  • Comment

Nine pounds to see the Monet exhibition seems a bit steep but it's nothing compared with the sum that Japanese admirers of Le Corbusier must pay to enjoy the largest body of his art works in Asia. Minoru Mori, co-owner of construction company Mori Group, has built up a 200-strong collection of Corb's paintings and drawings and has put them on show. The venue is his new Ark Hill Club on top of a Tokyo tower block. The snag? Admission is for members only and membership costs 3 million Yen. Just £180K, since you ask.
