Arsenal Football Club has submitted its plans for a new 60,000-seat stadium and community redevelopment to Islington council. The scheme includes designs for a new £250 million stadium by HOK Sport, as well as housing schemes by Allies and Morrison and CZWG.

The applications are due to be considered by Islington in October. Initial work on the new stadium at Ashburton Grove is planned for mid 2002 (AJ 1.2.01).
