As 88 Wood Street, formerly known as Daiwa House, approaches completion on London Wall in the City of London, the extraordinary clarity and flatness of its Richard Rogers Partnership glass facades become apparent. The secret lies in the glass itself, specially produced under enormously high temperatures. Called Diamond White, the glass must not be confused with the allegedly strong, bottled cider of that name.
