All aboard: Bblur's Slough bus station opens

  • Comment

London-based Bblur Architecture has completed this £7 million replacement for the infamous Brunel Bus Station in Slough

The station, made famous for its use in the opening credits of BBC 2 sitcom The Office, has been rebuilt as part of a £450 million Heart of Slough redevelopment project which the practice is also heavily involved with.

Bblur, an offshoot of 3DReid, worked with Buro Happold and McLaren Construction on the competition-winning scheme.

The building is clad in aluminium shingles to create a ‘softly textured metallic surface which will change character with the varying light conditions.
