Alan Camp completes International House in Woolwich

[First look] Alan Camp Architects has completed this £16.2 million residential scheme in Woolwich, London

Overlooking the 2012 Olympics equestrian events venue at Greenwich park, the 10-storey scheme features 116 flats and duplex apartments arranged around a landscaped courtyard.

According to Alan Camp Architects the inclusion of a centralised woodpellet biomass boiler has achieved a 20 per cent reduction in carbon emissions for the project. Meanwhile, bat boxes, swift boxes, log piles and roof-mounted nettle beds have boosted ecology.

Designed for social housing group LHA-ASRA, the scheme features red and white facing brick, prepatinated zinc, and projecting balconies with coloured aluminium balustrades.
