To complement ongoing education and health projects, Penoyre & Prasad landed several medium and large-scale residential projects in 2014. A masterplan for 700 units at Bicester ecotown builds on the practice’s longstanding sustainability expertise, and elderly care housing is another current focus, where transformations in practice demand new architectural solutions. The 2105 outlook is strong with a more diversified position. ‘The recession has made us leaner and more efficient, and BIM has been fantastic for us. Virtually all projects are now using some level of BIM,’ says Sunand Prasad. Completed in 2014, mixed-use scheme The Bloom in London’s White City combines 170 units of housing with an NHS primary care facility and local authority social services.
