33 employed architects, 30% female architects, new entry
Since UK architect Pringle Brandon merged with US design consultant Perkins+Will three years ago, the headcount has risen by over a third and the 131-strong company is one of the AJ120’s highest-ranking new members. Turnover has also doubled since the merger, to £14 million, with revenue generated mainly from its core corporate interiors and interior architecture businesses, although £2.2 million of this came from architecture. The staff increase caters for new sector diversification into healthcare, urban design and hospitality, in the UK and Middle East, where its Dubai office has tripled in size. High-profile UK work includes Plough Yard Developments’ multi-million pound Stage project, which comprises 385 residential units, two office buildings and 3,600m² of retail space.
