A series of new office buildings commissions in 2014 – including Glass Quay Wharf in Bristol and Windsor Business Quarter, both for Salmon Developments, and a 15,000m2 scheme for Legal and General in Uxbridge – have helped the practice diversify and reduce its reliance on residential. The firm splits work ‘roughly equally between offices, residential and interiors, also with a couple of hotels’, says managing director Chris Darling. Its residential portfolio includes ‘über-luxury’ schemes such as the £150 million Princes Gate project and affordable schemes such as its work for Canary Wharf Group. Its £55 million College Road Tower in central Croydon, a mixed-use scheme for Silver Star Properties, will start on site in September 2015.
