Rising three places in the league table, John Thompson & Partners has celebrated a ‘busier than envisaged’ year which saw the placemaking specialist grow its staff numbers from 84 to 96. New commissions in the UK included masterplanning a 2,500-unit development near Cirencester and a 4,000-home scheme in Hull. Meanwhile, overseas JTP won a design contest with Gillespies for the Daoliu River Park in China and is co-ordinating the first phase of the £286 million Oaks Prague development featuring designs by JTP alongside seven British practices and three Czech firms. Recent completions included the first phase of new riverside housing at Fulham Reach. Looking ahead, JTP is taking ‘nothing for granted’ this year as it celebrates two decades in business.
