48 employed architects, 33% female architects, =51st position in 2014
Is 2015 the year Eric Parry’s 32-year-old outfit will be catapulted into a whole new architectural league? The artful and assured studio, which has been steadily climbing the rankings and now boasts an 83-strong workforce, recently hit the headlines with a number of internationally significant wins. As well as scooping the latest phase of the £3 billion Chelsea Barracks scheme in London, the practice landed arguably the most hotly anticipated project in the capital – a new skyscraper at No1 Undershaft next to the Cheesegrater. Sources claim the tower could top 70 storeys and potentially be taller than the Shard. The company, which brought in more than £7.2 million between its London and Singapore offices, has also bagged its first commercial project outside London. Bigger things beckon.
