57 employed architects, 35% female architects, =39th position in 2014

UK architectural fees are up nearly 40 per cent year-on-year to £8.1 million at this 94-strong practice. The past year saw it secure its central London studios for the foreseeable future and appoint Francesca Gernone as partner, leading its interiors group alongside architecture, urban design, workplace and research. The firm has seen substantial milestones in projects such as Silvertown Quays, where it is masterplanning and designing new typologies and significant residential elements. It also completed work on its refurbishment of Carmelite Riverside at 50 Victoria Embankment in London. The office scheme, which had an original budget of £25 million, included the revamp of the listed 19th century Carmelite House and the overhaul of an adjoining1990s block.
