65 employed architects, 45% female architects, =22nd position in 2014
UK architectural fee income is up 34 per cent year-on-year to £9.6 million at this Islington-based mixed-use, residential and schools specialist. With clients ranging from London boroughs to developers Bouygues UK, Hill and Telford and many other housing and education providers, 2014 saw the firm celebrate 40 years in practice with its highest-ever turnover. The start of 2015 saw senior partner Teresa Borsuk named Architect of the Year in the AJ’s Women in Architecture Awards. Patrick Devlin, partner, considers one of the biggest challenges facing the business in the year ahead as ‘meeting the aspirations of an increasingly confident and ambitious marketplace when fee levels recover more slowly and programmes are often unrealistic’.
