94 employed architects, 21% female architects, 5th position in 2014
Following a successful demerger from Aedas in July 2014, AHR has quickly established its presence on the global architecture scene, completing the RIBA award-winning Keynsham Civic Centre in the UK and winning the first phase of a £370 million Expo Village project in Kazakhstan. Currently, AHR has well over 400 staff in 13 offices across the UK, Russia, Poland and Kazakhstan, with an associate office in Pakistan. In addition, the practice has just opened a new office in Dubai and aims to expand its presence in the Middle East. AHR director Karle Burford says the practice is prioritising recruitment to meet the growth of its eastern European offices. ‘We want to maintain and build on this growth. Across the board, recruiting the best possible staff is always a priority,’ he adds.
