95 employed architects, 28% female architects, 15th position in 2014

Alongside completing London’s tallest residential tower in 2014, One St George’s Wharf, the practice also completed a five-year repositioning project of Lisbon international airport, the 9,000-seat National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan and the National Heart Centre in Singapore. The company is active in 43 countries and has a global network of 16 studios. With more than 75 per cent of income coming from repeat business, turnover this year has increased to £49.5 million. Gary Whittle, managing director of global architecture, urbanism and design practice, says: ‘We plan to continue to grow our practice by targeting the education, commercial offices, retail and defence sectors in the UK, while expanding our project portfolio in Latin America and throughout Asia.’
