22 employed architects, 14% female architects, new entry
According to chairman Paul Falconer, the most significant achievement of the 48-strong practice in 2014 has been establishing a presence in Malaysia. ‘We’ve been working on a £100 million mixed-use project in Kuala Lumpur which comprises the new HQ offices of the Shapadu Group oil company, a large four-star hotel, apartment block and retail mall.’ Work is expected to start on site this July, and through this initial project the firm now has several other projects in Malaysia. It also expects to be launching its first project in the Middle East this year, a large residential project in Abu Dhabi. In the UK, two hotel projects in London – one in Kennington and the other on the City fringe – should raise its profile in the capital.
