This dizzyingly multinational practice increased the size of its overseas operations more rapidly than any other firm. Aukett Fitzroy Robinson’s overseas workforce increased from 30 architects to 82 and the firm’s total overseas staff now number 180.
Aukett Fitzroy Robinson has offices in Moscow, Prague, Bratislava, Abu Dhabi, Berlin and Frankfurt and projects are under way in Brazil, Colombia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Sweden, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
More than 20 languages are spoken by the firm’s staff. Non-UK work focuses on office, hotel, retail and residential; refurbishment is also a growing specialism.
One of the few practices that is publicly quoted, Aukett Fitzroy Robinson shares began 2011 at 3p each and, after a hitting a low of 1.63p in the summer, rallied to finish the year at 2.88p.
