Airport cladding takes the pressure

  • Comment

Cladding specification for Manchester Airport's Ground Transport Interchange to meet the air and water permeability standard of 600 pascals was met by EDM Spanwall, which already works to parameters in excess of current European Standards. Some 6,000m 2of the 2016 system, in two different finishes, were chosen to complement the design by Jefferson Sheard Architects; aluminium duotone for an iridescent colour change to the office space and weathered copper on the cores and liftshafts. The £60 million interchange is set to become a landmark and will be used by six million passengers by 2005.
