AJ120 big hitter ADP has announced it is opening a new Edinburgh office, just days after celebrating its 50th birthday
The practice, which held major events to mark its anniversary at London’s Royal Festival Hall and Manchester’s Foundation Coffee House, confirmed the studio in George Street will open within the next two weeks with a staff of six people.
Headed by former 3DReid divisional director Graeme Feechan, the outpost will be ADP’s ninth office and will initially focus on commercial work before expanding into the practice’s traditionally strong sectors of ‘higher education, schools and healthcare’.
Roger FitzGerald, chair of ADP, said: ‘We believe that ADP’s proposition, of national quality delivered locally, offers Edinburgh and the market in Scotland something different.’
The practice, which is ranked 27th in the AJ’s league table of the nation’s largest architectural practices, now boasts a workforce of 112.
Fitzgerald hopes the Scottish studio will ‘soon’ double in size.
