Admiration for Coventry centre misrepresented

  • Comment

Your heading 'MacCormac criticised for 'fashionable clichÚ'' over my letter (AJ 16/23.8.01) turned the content on its head and completely misrepresented my view of MacCormac Jamieson Prichard's Visitor Interpretation Centre in Coventry.

Far from criticising it, my letter expressed admiration for its sense of place and timeless elegance. The designed landscape around it is, to me, inappropriately fussy and placeless, while the pleached limes will cut across the lines of the building.
