BUILDING STUDY

Noise and vibration control of the substantial rooftop plant installation was crucial.

Priorities were achieving low noise levels in the client centre meeting rooms on the floor below, and avoiding nuisance to St Bartholomew's Hospital next door. The interface between the slab-to-slab drywall partition and building structure allows for building deflections without causing a weak noise transmission path, which would degrade the overall sound insulation.
