Abbey Holford Rowe secures £100m Irish development

  • Comment

Abbey Holford Rowe has won planning permission for a £100 million scheme in the Republic of Ireland - the first time the practice has worked in the country. The scheme, for a site in Tallaght on Dublin's outskirts, is for a mixed-use development of housing, retail outlets, offices and car parking.

The building will form one side of a new square and include 13,000m 2ofoffice space. It will be 750m long.

'This is a significant commission for us, ' said partner Peter Oborn, manager of the London office. 'The thrust is very much to create an urban environment which at present is little more than a car park.'

The practice will be working in partnership with local firm Lafferty Design and Development.
