The RIBA is plugging its Stirling Prize ceremony at the Science Museum on November 4 as 'the architectural event of the year', and urging architects and members of the public to snap up the remaining tickets while they are still available.

The event will see the £20,000 prize go to either (in order of bookmaker William Hill's odds) Foster and Partners or Caruso St John (joint favourites), Marks Barfield, Chetwood Associates, Alsop & Stormer, Richard Rogers Partnership or Sauerbruch Hutton Architects.

Final votes will be cast by the judges at 20.30. The Channel 4televised event will also include a champagne reception, food and dancing until 23.30. C4's programme will go out at 20.00 on the following night. Tickets cost £100 and are available from Nancy Mills on 0121 233 2321. E-mail nancy. mills@member. riba. org
