A proactive RIBA

  • Comment

The riba's thinktank for ideas on architecture is looking at research on the value of design, standardisation and regulations, and will hold its first public meeting on 12 April. The Future Studies Unit, chaired by Roger Stonehouse, includes Frank Duffy and Terry Farrell. The first talk will have John Thackara, director of the Netherlands Design Institute, as a guest speaker, Ken Worpole of Comedia, and the unit's Clare McCoy. The evening, run by the riba Architecture Gallery, will include a dinner at Patisserie Valerie. Details, 0171 636 4389.
