Planning permission has been granted for this four-storey art gallery and residential building at 20 Hoxton Square
With a construction budget of roughly £4.5m, the project aims to match surrounding buildings in height and materials, including the use of brick with a charcoal finish.
DOS Architects director Tavis Wright said: ‘We are very proud of the final result and are scheduled to start works on site by January 2010.’
‘Due to the sensitive nature of the site - Grade II-listed building to one side and primary school to the other - our design has been subject to 10 months of lengthy negotiations with the London Borough of Hackney. We are very proud of the final result and are scheduled to start works on site by January 2010.’
