Steel Focus

Entries are being invited for the 1998 Structural Steel Design Awards. Structures, which can be in the uk or overseas, must employ British Steel and steelwork and must have been completed in 1996 or 1997. Students are challenged to design a children's hospital using the latest developments in structural steel for the 1998 British Steel Architectural Student Award. The competition is open to students at riba-recognised architecture schools participating in courses leading to Part I and Part II examinations, or design-orientated courses equivalent to Parts I and Part II. Exceptional cases from students not enrolled on architectural courses will be considered.
