Benoy has won a competition to design an £11 million cancer research institute for the University of Nottingham. The proposed three-storey building will be put forward as part of the university's application for funding from the Wellcome Trust's Joint Infrastructure Fund. Its 6000m2 will bring the university's cancer research operations under one roof, and will occupy a prominent site on the edge of the campus facing onto the city's main ring road.
