. . . School Works win was based on hard research

The Architecture Foundation is one of very few institutions which consistently runs competitions enabling architects to engage in public issues. De Rijke Marsh Morgan is a small practice interested in the public realm, which enters as many such competitions as possible.

The allegation of unfair promotion, coupled with a drawing of our School Works proposal, is misleading and sensationalist.

For a small practice to win this competition is a considerable achievement, reflecting years of effort and research. We are proud to have fairly won this commission, and hope it offers encouragement to emerging practices. This attempt to degrade the integrity of our practice, the validity of an open competition and the professionalism and impartiality of a large jury panel, is rather sad.
